New service available at the GACRC

Wednesday, March 6, 2013

The Georgia Advanced Computing Resource Center (GACRC) has a new resource that greatly enhances file transfers to and from the zcluster, and between file systems on the zcluster (e.g., between /home and /oflow).

The resource consists of three dedicated servers that are connected very closely to the GACRC storage systems.

In addition, the center has implemented secure FTP (FTPs) on these servers. FTPs is much faster than "secure copy" (SCP).

For more information on transferring files using the new resource, visithttps://wiki.gacrc.uga.edu/wiki/Transferring_Files

Those with questions or issues about the new service are asked to contact the GACRC.
